It is actually better to have no official forums, so ArenaNet made the right decision. For example, WoW would be much better off without its forums, as maybe 0.0001% of the posts made there have any value whatsoever.

It's to be hoped that someone takes notice of the posts because the only reason we post here "I am assuming" is that they asked us to.
Click on contact us on their website and they request us to use forums, which they say are read daily.
Of course read daily may not indicate any of their employees do the reading and even if they do it says they "read" doesnt say they act on what they read.
We should all know soon enough, if there is no comment from them about the magazine/minipet threads.

Also an excellent point. See the one thread asking for all NPCs in all missions to now auto res like in GW:EN. Its the exact opposite of a thread asking to remove auto res of NPC allys in GW:EN that poped up a few weeks ago.
The Asuran Sunglasses for example was a suggestion in Sardelaic. Coincidence? Probablly. But hey, you saw it here first!

That would be this thread:

Seconded.
It already takes them long enough to finish anything, it seems, let's not delay them asking them to implement things like...the "/lean" emote.

If i know a.net staff, they will allways have something to add.
Just like when they made Nightfall, Domain of Anguish was supposed to be implemented with Nigthfall, but they waited a few months to add it so they could keep the player comunity and attract some more with the idea of "self-expanding" game.
They did it with Prophecies (Sorrow's Furnace and the Titan Quests), but they didint do it with Factions because they were working on Nightfall already.
But thats how I would do it =)

Anet SHOULD skip this entire section, it's 99.99% full of useless suggestions that usually come from people whining how they suck at the game.
the only one that they pay attention to are the ones they already know, like auction house etc etc < not that it's coming but still

Synonyms for Sanitarium: bedlam, bughouse, funny farm, laughing academy, loony bin, lunatic asylum, madhouse, mental health institution, mental home, mental hospital, mental institution, nuthouse, padded cell, psychiatric hospital, psychiatric ward, rubber room, sanatorium, sanitarium, snake pit
Maybe if it had another name it would be taken more seriously, lol.

Unfortunatly the name cannot be altered
It had to be called Sardelac Sanitarium its in clause 3 of the original contract
Just above the sanity clause
pauses to await a marks brothers fan to give the punchline

Two things I can think of offhand:
Before Factions, there was quite a lot of demand for a rogue-type 'light melee' profession. We got the Assassin.
Before Nightfall, there were a lot of threads flying around asking for a bard or similar shout-based 'singing' profession. We got the Paragon.
It may be circumstancial evidence, but it does imply that ANet was paying at least some attention to what people were asking for.

And now they've stopped, since they've done their last content expansion and started working on Guild Wars 2.

It is circumstantial. The Suggestion forums have suggested every freaking class possible, so there's bound to be some coincidence.
Although they haven't suggested the Battle Nun...yet...

Lol. True that. Though the bard/druid/shapeshifter suggestions (read: paragon, sin, and dervish) were still more common then the more creative/weirder ideas like vodoo magic man.

Indeed. The rogue- and bard-type suggestions came up a LOT, before the creation of a seperate subforum turned class suggestions into a hobby.

Better HM, attribute sharing classes, shared guild storage, better guild management, alliance rosters, title management, hero management, a whole BUNCH of ideas regarding stuff they could sell in the online store *from cute char toys, mugs, to bonus mission packs and "exclusive" minipets that you would HAVE to pay for anyways since you buy the mag), better guild officer management, better GH customization, Armour Storage, Pet kennels, post creation character re-customization, better friends list, larger ignore list., AUCTION HOUSE....
Im sorry if you find these ideas AND MORE "looney" you clearly have not read them through properly, people may disagree with them but they certainly are not "crazytalk".
yes there is a lot of faf in SS but simply disregarding the whole forum as a madhouse is not doing YOU any favours.

I was just trying to inject a little humor here, after all this is a game we are talking about.

We still appreciate suggestions, even if we are moving to a new game. A good suggestion is a good suggestion, whether it was intended to apply to GW or GW2. So please don't hesitate to continue to share your thoughts, dreams, and visions for the future of Guild Wars.

i personally would love it, to see gaile more often in the Sardelac section, and when she posts only then there things like
"Hmm, this sounds like a very nice idea, I'll talk with the Devs about it, see, what they will think of ...."
or something ..anything like this... that lets people at least know, that the idea got read by anyone, who works for Anet, giving the Thread Start somehow at least the "Hope" that something will happen in future
I can remember me at least, that I posted on a german forum an idea about implementing the Feature to GW, for a real Wedding System, ya know ?
Real wedding with church and so on... to increase the RPG flair of the game and to impement maybe even some funny wedding skills that can use only married characters, when they are together in a party and wear their wedding rings in inventory or so...
Then 2 days later, i saw, that Gaile were taling about Weddings and that the finds the Idea real nice .. that was the first time, where i really believed.
"Oh, wow, they really get somehow on the idea, we write in forums, there must be really someone, who reads all our stuff and brings the good ideas to the Dev#s and Gaile, which can then talk about it to us ingame and respond to it"
This feeling I'm missing for long time now, I'm long enough now in this forum, theoretically registered only, because Gaile answers here *more or less randomly T.T* and then I had seen until now, none Suggestion thread in Sardelac, where she made at least an little answer, or posted something, what she personally thinks about the ideas of us and if it is maybe possible, that we might see something like our idea someday ingame ...
